Random Dungeons For BELLONA


This is something I’ve wanted to do for some time but, until recently, I had no idea how to execute it.

I've had multiple people ask for something like this, but only recently did I sit down and actually start to work on the mechanics to make it possible. I had three things I wanted to do with a random dungeon generating mod for dungeon crawling with BELLONA: I wanted it to generate a fun dungeon, I wanted that dungeon to spawn random packs of enemies, and I wanted there to be traps that actually surprise and effect the heroes of the delving party without being annoying or cheesy. It took a while, but I feel like I definitely achieved what I set out to do.

So here it is, a new rules mod for generating random dungeons on the fly for solo dungeon delving campaigns powered by BELLONA. I'm pretty proud of this modification to the game! It procedurally generates the dungeon and populates it with random packs of enemies, traps and treasures that you define to fit the theme of your delve! Go as deep into the darkness as you choose, or generate a limited dungeon with defined parameters. Either way, it's up to you!

I'm still working on other mods for BELLONA, so if there's something in particular you're jonesing to see, let me know and I'll bump it up the list of priorities. Defining this particular set of rules actually helps resolve some of the road blocks I've had in making a "colony crawler" or sci-fi version of the dungeon delve mod, so I'm excited about that progress as well.
